When: Saturday,
August 5, 2006. Race begins at 10 AM as the runners lead off the N.C.
Watermelon Festival Parade.
Where: Starting
line at the corner of W. Main St. and Winder St. in downtown Murfreesboro.
The course is in the process of being certified by the USTAF.
Who: Open to
runners and walkers ages 12 and up. Awards will be given to top male and
female finishers in age categories.

8:30-9:45 AM on the lawn of Murfreesboro Baptist Church (200 W. Main
St.).
Cost: $15. Please
make check payable to the Murfreesboro Rotary Club.
Official race shirts are

As a participant in the N.C. Watermelon
Festival 5K on 5 August 2006, I release the N.C. Watermelon Festival, the
Murfreesboro Rotary Club and its members, and the Town of Murfreesboro and
its employees, sponsoring organizations and any individual parties who are
in any way connected to the event from any liability of claims of injury
or illness that I might sustain during my participation in this athletic
event. I understand that this release applies to myself and my personal
representative, heirs and assigns. I know that running the 5K is a
potentially hazardous activity but represent that I am trained adequately
and medically able to complete the course. I assume the risks associated
with participating in the 5K, including, but not limited to, falls,
contact with other participants, effects of weather including high heat
and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the roads.
