Winborne Law Office/Country Store   Built in the late 1870’s, this building was used as a law office by several generations of the Winborne family, including B.B. Winborne, whose famous History of Hertford County serves to this day as a primary reference concerning the area and the early families who lived here. Originally located on the town’s Main Street, the building was moved to the Historic District in 1976. The first floor is furnished as a "country store" featuring literally hundreds of items such as may have been found in a store of this vintage. The diverse and nostalgic collection is a "must see."
